cycling dvds - why only certain ones available?

I love watching dvds of past races, but have now run out of races available. For example, where could I get copies of Giro and Vuelta from the 90s, or even 2000 and 2001?

Cheers.

You'd be able to get 98 Giro. And there are video's (what?) of older Giro's available from time to time.

But as part of the Armstrong effect, other races got covered in English for the 'merican market and hey presto, lots of loverly DVD's.

Tyler second in giro in 2002, next year World Cycling do a DVD.

USPS victory in the Vuelta with Heras, next year a DVD.

The 1999 and 2000 editions of the Giro were available on video, but I don't think they were re-issued on DVD. You could hunt down VHS copies and get them transfered to DVD.

  • With the $ to £ exchange rate so good at the moment, ordering from worldcycling.com in the US is good value (assuming you can play Region 1 DVDs, that is).

I just bought this year's Paris-Roubaix DVD from them, and even including postage from the US it was still only £22 (and was below the limit for having to pay import duty as well).
  • you might also want to try adrenaline films (.ca not .com) - at the current rate there are some bargains in there. I've used them in the past and they posted the dvds pretty quickly.
