great shoe, v.comfortable with a v.stiff sole but for £100 you can get a good choice of last years models. I've sieen Sidi on offer recently for @£60 and the silver Nike poggio for the same. shop around

Time also have some great shoes, if you don't have a large foot

Go to your local bike shop and try loads of them on! Unfortunately the best fitting for me were the ugliest pair I tried on - now discontinued Shimano R151s. They definitely weren't on my shortlist but the Sidi and Diadoras that were didn't fit as well so ended up with the aforementioned Shimanos.

I have the Specialized ones. They are very comfy. My LBS recommend getting a size bigger than your normal shoe (I have read similar advice in another shoe thread) so something to think about in you buy on the net. The only downside are the ratchets, which are a bit stiff to pull out when you are taking the shoes off.

I recently bought some North Wave Aerators and I'm impressed. Mega stiff carbon sole, good vents (for summer at least!), good fitting (good for wide feet) and look pimp.

Thanks to Wiggle I got them really cheap

I have only had Sidis and would recommend them in a heartbeat. My next pair will be Sidis as well. No-brainer.

Sidis are nice for me. Well made. Shimano is also ok. Try before you buy tho'!

Originaly I had Sidi's size 45. I then bought som North waves, and they fit me at size43.
that's the difference for wide feet. I now have MTB and Road Aerator 3's which I've just bought. both are fantastic :D

If you've got wide feet get them measured to find out how wide. Both Sidi and Shimano do wide fitting shoes, others may "come up wide" but it's a bit hit and miss. What feels like a slipper in the shop can turn into you're worst nightmare after a couple of hours.

I made this mistake earlier in the year with a pair of DMT Flash. Super comfy in the shop, even after standing around in them for 30 minutes. After an hour on the road my feet started to feel cold, which was the blood supply not working. After two hours I had no feeling in either foot. I rode them for around a 1000 miles then binned them. Now on Sidi Megas which are good but I'm saving for a pair of Rocket 7's.

Recently bought me second pair of Sidi's, Genius 6.6's white with carbon soles, nothing wrong with my old ones, just love the new ones

best compliment I can say is that after a long hot day, can't even feel I'm wearing them their so comfy

think Wiggle were selling some Genius 5's for about £80 recently

Theres not much point in asking for recomendations on a forum for buying shoes (type of shoes perhaps, but not makes etc) What is foot heaven for one person will be foot hell for another. Try on as many as you can, pick which one feels best.
Makes also vary as well. The specialized motodiva's fit me really well, the Riatas were terrible, one size far too small, next size up far too big.

yep, i agree with that. comfort is king. just a note on the spesh shoes ... the s-works IS worth the money. it is substantially lighter than the models below. Ihave two pairs but can only bear using the s-works as the comp carbons feel like concrete boots in comparison.
