It would be interesting to know if anyone on here cycles in a local club around me.

There is a wetherby wheelers club however i think they may be a bit too fast for me.

Im finding that cycling on my own isnt as much fun as when your with others.

cheers

Don't worry about being too slow for the Wetherby Wheelers.
As long as you can cycle a reasonable distance, say 50-60 miles I'm sure you will be fine.
I was a member for a number of years until I moved out of the area.
They are a small, friendly club that is not overly focussed on racing, and not the sort who will leave anybody behind, especially a newcomer. If you do fancy racing though, you will be able to do that too.
Just turn up for one of the rides. You will be able to do a few rides without joining to see if you like it.
Here is their runs list if you haven't seen it.....

the longest ride ive done was the 70 mile wetherby to filey ride in june.

I managed it but at 50 miles when we hit one of those crazy hills, my legs cramped and i had to get off stretch, then push the bike to the top! :D

my legs were quite delicate for the next 20 miles.

I'm sure you will be fine if you managed the Wetherby-Filey OK.
Don't forget that riding in a group is quite a bit easier than riding on your own too.
