There seems to be a common trend in bike shoes in that the sizes come up small.

Do Shimano have this same problem?

I'm a UK 8, so in theory should be a 42, but I'm tempted to go for a 43.

I will go and try some on, but just wanted to know in advance?

I`m a 45 in regular shoes, but a 46 in Shimano. The main reason you need to go up a size is that they come up narrow. If you don`t have wide feet you might be OK in your regular size, but I would certainly reccomend you go try some on first.

I'm 45, I knew Shimano were small so ordered 46, but they were still to tight so ended up with 47

I am a size 8, and have a pair of size 42 shimano shoes - I would suggest going for a size 43, as the size 42 are definitely cosy.
