Rebuilding a rear Aksium wheel.
My rear mavic Aksium recently developed a crack in the rim, so I've replaced it with another. I had thought I might try buying a rim and rebuilding the old wheel as a spare.
The problem is that the Aksium has 24 spokes, whereas all the rims I can find seem to have between 28 and 36 holes.
So, my questions are:
Is it possible to get 24H rims?
and
Even if I get one, is there a reason why these rims all have >=28 holes? Will it be very difficult to hand build a good wheel with only 24?
