I've got a small crack in the braking surface on my front Zipp 404. Is this likely to be something that can be repaired and if so does anyone know somewhere in the Oxford/Reading area that could do it and also how much roughtly it would cost? I'm guessing a replacement rim would probably be about a couple of hundred :/

Got a pic? Some can be home repaired - there are plenty of threads on it on various forums.
Otherwise there is a company called HQ fibre products (I think that's the name) who do carbon repairs. Replacement rim and rebuild would be a lot of money.

I did try a Google search for repair tips but it didn't really turn up anything useful :(

Has it already been glued? If it was me and I wanted to have a go at saving the rim then I'd take the tub off and epoxy the crack fully. then sand the braking surface lightly and carefully until it's flat. Worth a go. Try searching weighweenies where people have written up their carbon repairs.
If you send it back to Zipp then they will tell you it needs a new rim/rebuild, probably £300 ish.
I searched the timetriallg forum, which is where I saw the carbon repair people, and the info is....
