Nothing like a bit of tuesday morning stupidity...
So, what do you tend to go for and why? Justify yourself!
And remember.... no arguing. We are all adults here.
If its not on the list then it didnt qualify for the shortlist, feel free to let us know what tickles your fancy even though it cant win. I started off with about 20 options, sadly not all allowed

McCoys Salt and Malt (just edging out their Cheddar and Onion). Far superior than Walkers et al.

Pork scratchings are the food of the gods. Tubby gods obviously but still gods.0

Just voted for Mini Cheddars (I could quite easily eat a packet of full-sized Cheddars in a very short time).
However, a top crisp recommendation; if you ever travel on GNER trains they sell really unusual crisps at the buffet car which are excellent, though you wouldn't immediately think so - instead of using spuds, they're made from beetroot, parsnip, sweet potato, etc.

And a second vote for pork scratchings - proper butchers ones though. Non of those crappy foil wrapped bags.0

Do real pork scratchings - i.e. from the butcher's - exist outside of the Midlands? I usually manage to get my hands on some when popping to see my folks down in Wolverhampton. Haven't spied any since moving up to Leeds, though.

I am enjoying my assorted nuts as I type this with both hands....0

Best Crisps - paprika-flavoured ones, to which you add cayenne pepper
Best Light Salty Snack - marmite and peanut butter together on brown-bread toast0 -
ooo lots of people have replied
I know all about those parsnip and beatroot crisps. My mother likes "alternative" foods and there is always something srange in teh snack cupboard. Asparagus crisps are actually ok.
Oh my god - I just realised that I left out Pringles *bows head in shame*
And twiglets - OH NOOO and Nik Naks. What have i done?0 -
ready salted are my fav., especially with a beer after our local 10 TT!!! very nice!!!_______________________________________________________________________________________

TWIGLETS!!! (Glad you dropped them in later) Preferably eaten out of one of those tubs they sell at Christmas, and eaten in conjunction with Maltesers at a ratio of one long Twiglet or two short Twiglets to one Malteser (not that I'm a little wierd or anything) in front of a good film, glass of full fat real Coke close at hand. The Christmas bucket of Maltesers is one of the best inventions of the 21st Century thus far.
Very high in fibre Twiglets mind, terrible after effects!!! :oops:There's always one more idiot than you bargained for.0 -
Cheese & Onion Pringles, preferably with beer.Jeff Jones

The finest savoury snacks known to humanity are.................
Sadly they are not available in a great deal of places but one garage on one of my fave rides is an offical Cheese Moment dealership so often stop off for a fix.
My regular savoury preference are ready salted Walkers or Sainsbury's Onion Rings.I'd rather walk than use Shimano0 -
oh, I'd forgotten cheesy moments!!! The ULTIMATE pub snack - one pack leads to another . . . and another . . . and another . . . and another . . .There's always one more idiot than you bargained for.0

Parched peas. Haven't seen any for years.
They used to come round to the pubs and sell bags of them in the East Lancs area and I'm sure many other places too.
Delicious with old fashioned real beer.
Bitter or Mild, not that new fangled lager stuff._______________________________________
I know I'm alright, the voices tell me so.

Walkers Cheesey Nunnery. Accept no imitations.Wanted: Penny farthing. Please PM me!
Advice for kilted riders: top-tubes are cold.0 -
Kettle Chips - esp Balsamic Vinegar and Sea Salt. My trigger food - I crave them and one crisp is never enough. One large bag or nothing.
Walkers Worcester Sauce but they have stopped making them
Salt and Vinegar Peanuts0 -
BBQ Pringles.
Years ago Sainsburys used to do Marmite flavour crisps in big bags (not like those flabby walkers ones). They were magnificent!!!!!!
I cycle, run, and hill walk.
Legs like Popeye, arms like Olive Oyl. (Abs like Bluto).0 -

Walkers Smokey Bacon Crisps, or Frazzles. If only they'd made bacon flavoured pringles ...
Suitable for vegetarians :? or so it says on the packet. Just an overdose of MSG !
But being a veggie myself , it's as close as I can get to the real thing<center><font size="1"><font color="navy">Lardy</font id="navy"><font color="blue"> | </font id="blue"><font color="navy">Madame de Pompadour</font id="navy"></font id="size1"></center>0 -

Salt and Vinegar Peanuts
Beat me to it!
I was just going to say that is the crisp that rocks, to be honest any kettle chips pretty much beat anything else
Salt and vinegar are superb, I have a large pack nestling in the cupboard at home 8)
Myself and my gf have, on occasions, demolished a whole pack between us

Pringles and Twiglets are so "more'ish" that I usually try to avoid them,
so Walkers Cheese n Onion most of the time, and sometimes Roast Chicken for a change.
Red Aende, Red Spesh Hardrock, Wine Mercian, Rusty Flying Scot0 -
Smoky Bacon crisps are the only crisps worth eating!0
-
Twiglets are quality.
If your going to mention Cheese Moments, a fabulous pub snack, then you've got to say a word for Scampi Fries, the Moments lemony sister (not a big fan of the Bacon jobs, bit too artificial).
I can't believe Monster Munch haven't received more coverage, a cracking snack in my opinion, especially Pickled Onion flavour. I like the way they make the roof of your mouth hurt a little bit.
I'm a bit partial to Cool Original Doritos too.
I think maybe I eat to many corn, maize and potato based snacks.0 -
Have you tried Wasabi nuts? Lethal things.0
