I'm after a cheap and strong rear handbuilt wheel for commuter. Something like Miche primato 36h on Open Pro.

Any suggestions for a) good / quick builder or b) different (better?) hub rim setup?

For example : do you know of a stockist of the Velocity Deep V rims (the bright coloured ones?)

Cheers

  • on-one will build you a rear wheel for £60 or so based on their own hubs - mine is standing up fine - and a selection of planet-x rims. See here

brick lane cycles offer the deep v rims you are after for £33-39 for the rim and build them into a set - here

and kiwi cycles also does wheelbuilds from £100 for a set - here

sure there are lots of other options too
  • Nice one. Good value (as usual) from planet-x. Don't know why I didn't think of them first!
