Ello.
I'm just getting into this single track lark (past couple of weeks), my bike is a bit basic but I'm working with what I have! Problem is, I need a helmet. I know, I know, should have been first on the list - but I can't really get into anywhere to try them out with the hours I work.
I've got a few upgrades on the list from last month's What MTB (mainly new tyres & saddle), but a helmet is a more urgent requirement. Doesn't have to be super light, and I'd prefer a single size so I can get it from Wiggle or somewhere! Halfords is an option, cause they open late... but they have a fairly small range.
Apologies if this has been covered before, I couldn't find much of relevance through searching...
Regards, Ben.

Helmets MUST be tried on before you buy, a bad fitting one can be more dangerous.0

Halfords sell Giro Indicators for £30 and are very good for the money.0

Ended up with a Bell Slant, more cash but fitted far better... also has the nice side effect of being quite pretty too...0 -

If you are worried about size and can't get anywhere to try one, find one you like on a web site and order each of the sizes available. Then send the others back. It's a bit of hassle though.
Some web sites will tell you how to measure your head so you can find out which size will fit.0
