right after much pain and precision workings fitting new brake pads my back v-brake is still not playing ball. Everytime i pull the brake it sticks and the cable appears to be caught....do i need to replace the cable?

Try lubing up the cables inside the jackets, may just be that there is dirt inside0

Could be the outers that have barbs where it is cut, poor routing, knackered noodle or not enough spring tension in the brake.0
