I am thinking of buying a 5th element coil rear shock (second hand) for my specialized big hit 2006....the i2i of the 5th element shock is 190x50 (7.4"x1.9") but the I2i of my current rear shock is 222x63 (8.75"x2.5"). could anyone tell me what difference the shorter i2i/stroke length will make to the performance of my big hit?
Thanks

It willl alter the angles of the bike signifcantly, slackening them off. Dont do it. Plus the stroke length is different too.0

It's not compatible with your bike. Just Say No!.It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.0

a 190mm shock on the big hit will completely ruin the ride, trust me i've tried it
The BB was so low at full compression i was getting pedal strikes all the time. head angle was stupidly slack and it rode like poop. dont do it</center>www.mtb-bitz.co.uk - Bitz for you & your mountain bike. pinkbike0
