Interesting survey / hope for cycling

A statistically representative study has been done at the end of the TdF in Germany, surveying 1000 people. Interesting results:
- 61% wanted existing sponsors to remain in the sport, 20% said that sponsors should get out. I am sure that this was a factor in T-Mobile's decision.
- 63% were confident that the doping crisis can be overcome and for cycling to become popular again. 15% thought this was impossible.
- 80% think that doping is also prevalent in other sports (!!!). Seems that the cycling issue has also brought home problems in other sports... maybe not to the same extent but still.
Interesting study I thought, maybe things aren't as bleak as they seem at the moment if cycling gets its act together.
Guess the remaining percentages are 'don't knows'.
Must admit, the numbers did surprise me (positively).
