Morning,
Ive pimped up my flat bar commuter Marin beautifully. I cant tell my wife-she just wouldnt get excited by it, you lot do - dont you?

Replaced the fat factory supplied alex wheels with 23x700 Rigida contour wheels from my road bike- wow what a difference in weight and acceleration.

Then got an on-one conversion kit with 16t cog and an 'other doofer', Ripped off the old cassette and derailleurs, cables etc and installed new kit.

A tear came to my eye as I beheld its beauty.

Still some bits to go- anyone know where to get hold of a reasonably priced single bmx styl chainset? I cant seem to get one through the usual places, wiggle etc?

Anyway, lovely commute in through Cambridge, dead flat so felt just the right gear all the way. Why arent all commuter bikes in Cambridge sold with one gear only?

If you're interested Ill try to get some photos. I admit it will look a little odd as Im using the middle of a triple chain ring at the front.

Regards to you all

I used eBay and paid £14.99 for my single chainset from Cambridge Cyclemania

I have to say as a keen and eager convert back to the cycling cause Cambridge quite frankly freaks me the fuck out.
Too many bikes. Fucking everywhere. Making the whole city look a mess.
