New Fork Question!

Hi.
I currently have 'Rock Shox Judy TT', which have 80mm travel. They are in need of replacing so I have been searching for some new (& better) forks.
The 'RockShox Recon 351 Solo Air' (which have 100mm travel) look interesting, but having never changed my forks I am unsure as to whether they would be suitable or not. Would going from 80mm to 100mmtravel have a drastic effect on the bike's geometry?
Thanks.

What bike? Probably be ok. See park tools for how to fit a fork.0

Most bikes that have 80mm as standard will accept a 100mm fork with no worries. You may find that it pops up a bit easily on climbs or the steering is slightly slowed down. Nothing that you wont get used and adjusted to, though.0

Thanks for the help.
The bike's only a '2003 Claud Butler Cape Wrath'...I'm looking at the possibility of building on the frame. It's either that or a new bike (all depends on current finances), but It's an option I'm considering if I can't upgrade to a new bike.

I had a 2005 Cape Wrath - put a 100mm Marzocchi MX Comp with ETA on it - turned a good bike into a great bike!0
