Little things that make you happy

In case the 'Little things that drive you mad' thread makes us sound too grumpy, how about a thread to balance it? I'll start with:

I'm out on a good long ride last week which includes some roads I've not ridden before. It was very hot and I'd been out a couple of hours when I spot a sign warning me of an approaching ford. For some reason I envisage a roaring torrent of brown water rapids waiting to hurl me and my bike over a cliff to certain doom but instead I come across a picturesque babbling, crystal clear two foot wide shallow stream across the road at the bottom of a dip. I splash through, giving my legs a cooling splash. There's no-one around. I go 'woo-hoo!'. There's was no-one around on the way back. I went 'woo-hoo!' again!

If you tell anyone, I'll deny it.
There's always one more idiot than you bargained for.

... a nod from a motorcyclist at traffic lights following on from me thanking him for letting me squeeze between cars 2 minutes before. Mutual respect for two wheeled filtering.

Watching those hand written letters burn into ash on a big bonfire after she left me
