Hi all,

My brother needs a longer hose for his Juicy3 brake.
WHe has the bleedkit, but is having trouble finding hose.
He bought some Fibrax stuff (non-braided), but the hosebarb slides straight in, instead of screwing in (ie the ID is too large).

Anyone know if Avid uses wierd sized hoseing or anything?

Ta, Duane.

  • Most bike shops should be able to order you some in without too much fuss.

Upgrade to Goodridge hose, and use the old connectors if you want to keep the costs down. Failing that, Shimano hose should work. But don't use one off an old Shimano brake that's had Mineral oil in it.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Agree with upgrading to Goodridge hose if cost isn't an issue, will be so worth it

I upgraded the hoses on my Juicy 3s to Goodridge ones. excellent upgrade and certainly helps stopping power.

I actually have the original hoses spare still so if you need one i can send you them if you like. Cant remember what length they are but they should be long enough for most hardtails.

If you want them send me a PM.
