I'm 35 and a bit out of practice. I ride a full sus stumpjumper. What is Afan like when its wet? Will I be sliding all over the place? I've ridden around the Ladybower reservoir in the Peak District and that was Ok.

I'm thinking of going to Afan next week when the weather is predicted to be rainy.

Its amazing fun in the wet!

I spent 3 days camping in Glyncorrwg with a constant supply of horizontal rain. The trails stayed sweet. Roots were a bit tricky but it adds to the fun!

Was there in November when it was very wet and then it hailed too. Frozen hailstones all over the higher trail sections made us realise just how cold it was!

    It was still great fun!!

    You'll love it...
