Loose Centre Lock Rotor?

Out on a gentle ride with the girlfriend yesterday, and whilst waiting for her to catch up yet again  , I noticed some play in the front of the bike. I had the front brake on, and there was forward/backward play of the fork/wheel, at first I thought it was my headset, I then found it was my front rotor that has some rotational play. So i rode the rest of the way home avoiding the front brake.
The brakes are XT on XT centre lock hubs, something I’ve not had any tinkering experience of yet as the bike is new. I didn’t get a chance to investigate it last night as I went straight out for dinner. Has the centre lock just come loose? Would that make the rotor have that kind of play, or is this something more serious? If it is just loose, what tool do I need to tighten it? Can I use my park tools FR5 cassette tool or does it require something different?
Cheers

A standard cassette tool works on centrelock rotors. If its just the rotor that has play then it shouldn't need more than a tighten.0

Sounds like the lock-ring on that holds the rotor on has worked itself loose. The lock-ring is the same fitting as a cassette lock-ring but the gap to fit the tool in is a bit narrower. I seem to remember reading that older cassette tools don't work as they can't fit in the gap. I certainly had to buy a new tool for mine as my old cassette tool wouldn't fit.East Anglia Biking Collective!
