hi all. im planning to buy some Tora 302's, and am wondering about the u-turn adjustment.
when adjusting the travel, does the physical height of the travel change, or does the height of the fork stay the same? this may sound a bit weird, but basically, if i set the travel to 100mm, and changet it to 130, would the height of the headtube rise with it or not? any help would be great. cheers

When you turn the dial on the top of the left fork leg, you are physically increasing or decreasing the height of the fork (the amount of shiny part at the top changes). Each turn I believe is 7mm. When fully in/down, the handlebars are lower to the floor and the angle of the front of the bike steepens slightly. At this point you have 85mm travel. When fully out, the angle slackens off, the handlebars are higher off the ground, and you're running the full 130mm.

You can feel it when riding. But I actually like it. If you want lowest travel, chances are you're caning it on the flat or slogging up hill, which means head-down/ar5e-up position will help. Then on the rough or going down hill, the slacker angle and more upright position is a bonus too.

It also adjusts spring rate too - lower travel = harder fork
