Halo or not to Halo? That is the question...

Recently I decided on purchasing some Halo Freedom Disc wheels for my burly freeride build - love Halo stuff - robust as hell and weight isn't an issue - plus I had an initial budget that I had worked out with the missus......
However......
Due to serious romancing on my part (did it for the team) I now have extended budget - £250 - instead of £150
Now, looking on Merlin, I can get a custom set of 'Red' (makes you go faster) Hope Pro IIs with mavic EX729s with black DT spokes..... interesting...
Pop quiz - go with the Halos and use the other £100 for something else or the custom wheel build...
YOU DECIDE!

I would say keep it custom where possible.<hr>
Do what you fear, you won\'t regret it.
You are only as brave as your skill level.0 -
If your freeriding go with the stronger more reliable set0

Decided to go with the custom jobbys - I'm not in an immediate rush to get latest build finished so will 'cherry pick' the best I can afford0

Yep - black, not too keen on the silver ones. Plus my build is going to be pretty much stealth black and bits of red here and there!0

Sounds good to me, especially with those wheels.
Which frame are you basing it all around?0 -
It's the 24Seven Cro55er frame that I bought on eBay
got some nice kit on order for it, pike 426s, easton monkeylite bars and a thomson x4 stem!!!
Already got a LX front mech and shifters, and an XT crank so nealry there!0
