New Brakes

Looking to change the hayes sole brakes to some better options. I am a heavy rider so currently find that the hayes fade way too quickly so looking for something that is going to offer that bit more assurance when braking. Any ideas? Have been looking at the juicy 5, juicy 7 and hope mini but not sure which is adequate and which would just be too much.
Also, what rotor size? (bike is spesh hardrock pro with upgraded recon fork if that makes any difference) And with the hope is it worth going for the braided hoses and floating disc? (explanaition on benefits of either would be useful!!)

Juicys are good brakes, the 7 gets a pad adjuster on the lever. Look at Deore too, great value.
Floating rotors are a bit of a gimmick, do nothing for 99% of riders, though braided hoses can help feel.0 -
Juicy 3s or 7 are definately worth looking at. If you want the Contact point adjuster then the 7s are very good. The 5s i find arent really worth the extra price over the 3s, i couldnt tell the difference between the two, i have 185mm rotors and they stop me dead in a second, im 200lbs.___________________________________________________________

I've settle don going for the juicy 7 but am not sure what rotor size front and rear. Was looking at 185 all round. Any thoughts?0

Anything bigger than 185 is overkill for the majority of riders, so I'd stick to that.0

I now have 185 front 160rear on my juicy 3s w/goodridge hoses. my 185 rear was abit over the top on power, the 160 is perfect.___________________________________________________________
