hi all. i have a gt aggressor xc3 '07 and am really pleased with it. ive decided to upgrade my forks, as the RS Dart 1's are like pogo sticks, and im sick of the bob and braking dive. ive seen some Tora 203's, and am pretty keen;

however, i dont know if the 130mm travel will affect the geometry. ive heard you can go to 120 pretty comfortably, but will that extra 10mm wreck the ride? please help!! thanks.

Great forks the Tora's.
The extra travel might make a difference to how the bike handles, to be honest, Tora's set at a 100mm will feel like heaven after a Dart 1. Set the rebound damping and sag right, there as plush as hell.
All you can do is try it, either way you still have a heck of a better fork and an extra 20mm is better than nowt!Cycle tracks will abound in Utopia. ~H.G. Wells

yeah, thats what ive been thinking. the GT Aggressor XC1 uses the Tora 302, and the frame is pretty much the same. Halfords said i should probably go for a smaller fork, but JE James said the tora would probably be ok. i reckon ill just go for it.
cheers for your help big + daftCarbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0 -
having said that, the Marzocchi MX Pro Fork is 100mm, the size my frame was designed around...?Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0

You can buy tora 302 fork in fixed travel 100mm too, quite inexpensive.

yeah, i thought of that fork, but i figure for the extra £50, the tora 203 130mm + poploc is probably a better bet. if the 130mm does affect the ride, i can just keep the fork at 120ish. thanks everyoneCarbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0

Frame is designed around 100mm of travel. Not to say you cannot adjust the fork to your preference, after all, this is what the feature is for. The bike is warrantied for it.0

so do you think i should go for the 100mm fixed 203's or 85-130's?Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0

Up to you. One is more expensive! But has the adjustable feature.0

yeh, i think the 45mm adjustabliity is probably worth the extra 50. plus, on crc, the reviews and ratings on the adjustabliity of the fixed travel 203's are much lower than that of the 85-130's.Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0
