I have a Cateye Micro (at the moment) and am fed up with being told that me and my Q-NT (downhill) have done 72mph when I know (being knacked after a weeks work)not to have done over 30mph.
Has anyone any experience/opinions of the Blackburn Delphi 6 ?

ive got the blackburn delphi 4.0 and it is excellent. the 5/6 are exactly the same with just HRM added in and altitude so i havent had direct use of one but can recommend it!

the only thing my blackburn has done is occasionally told me the incorrect maximum speed but this is only once or twice

My take on Cateye vs. Blackburn:

Cateye are easier to use and more elegant, Blackburn give you more features, but are more complicated and are quite chunky (which can be a good thing).

I've used both and am now I'm trying to make my mind up on this myself as I've broken my cateye (user error...).

I am changing batteries in my cateye microwireless every 2-3 months  . Maybe a fault but wouldn't buy one again. The new cateye strada looks nice.

I became sick of random behaviour of wireless computers - false readings, sensor not connecting to computer etc so I've just bought a cateye strata 8 wired computer.
  • I'm so miffed at my Shimano Flightdeck, I too am considering a "normal" bike computer, but don't know which one to buy. I would like one that has a bracket that puts the computer in the middle of the bars. Any suggestions?.

The cateye strata 8 has a bracket that allows you to mount it on your stem

Cateye Astrale 8 on my roadie, but I do find all the extra cable annoying. Price to pay for having it mounted on the rear wheel for the turbo trainer. :(

Polar CS100/CS200 are mountable on stem or bars.
