Leeds commute - safe way to 2 City Walk

I can't find a safe way to get to work by bike. Every route involves either breaking the law (pavement, one way up one way street etc) or merging right into 4 lanes of fast moving traffic either trying to join or leave the M621 (which is quite trying on the old nerves).
Do you cycle to the "Holbeck Urban Village" from North Leeds? Do you know a good way into the traffic guarded fortress of urban renewal?

Where are you coming from? Can you go along The Calls and Sovereign Street, turn left onto Neville Street and right into Water Lane?0

Thanks for the response.
It is no right turn from Sovereign Street to Water Lane.0 -
A roundabout way would be to get to Whitehall Road, go under the railway lines and then turn left onto Springwell Road then you're into Holbeck.

However, to get onto Whitehall Rd from North Leeds might be a faff - though I think there bike lanes down Park Row then you just cross over onto Whitehall Rd near the City Square entrance to the station.0 -
That is a bit of a long way round but at least it is legal and safer than the Dewsberry Road mad dash.
I'm thinking I might be able to cut through the dark arches and out onto Water Lane through a car park. I'll try tomorrow.0 -
I know the Granary Wharf car park is closed now they're building flats and a hotel on that plot of land next to the canal basin so cutting through the dark arches might be a no-go, but I haven't been down there for a while so I'm not sure. You'll have to check it out.
I don't envy you having to cut across all that traffic on your way down to Holbeck - via the Crown Point way though - its a real horror.
Good luck anyway.0
