fork question
hi all
i am quite new to cycling so please forgive me if my question is a bit on the daft side.
i have bought a principia frame without forks, so i would like to go out and buy some but i havent a clue what to ask or look for. i have about £150.00 to spare ( dont tell the wife ) so can anyone tell me the best forks to look for.
many thanks

Well that depends on what frame you have.
There are 1", 11/8", and 11/4" and even some that mix them.
Then you need to know if it is intergrated or not.
And if you want full carbon or not.
When all that is sorted out then I would recomend a Mizuno or Columbus.

how can you tell if your bike needs intergrated forks or not.0

difficult question.
basically if the frame is designed for internal headsets then you can choose a integral fork to enhance its appearance.
Or not.
It should be easy enough to see if the frame is designed for an internal headset - because the frame has been machined at an angle so that the bearings fit inside the frame. Note also the angles are different for different types of headsets.
May be a good idea to talk to your lbs.0 -
Send us a photo and measure the internal diameter at the top and the bottom of the head tube and we should be able to give you a better idea what you need.0
