Fitting Tri' bars

I am putting tri’ bars on to my road bike with shifters also keeping my road bars and shifters. Is there anyway of installing the tri bar shifters without moving the STI levers or disconnecting the said levers?? :?

profile design do some sort of device to allow you to use tri bar shifters and normal STI's, but a guy who I ride with owns a bike shop and I mentioned about doing this, and he said that it's very tricky to set-up.
