Marzocchi vs. Rockshocks - Axle to crown height

Hi, I'd like some help with this, :?:
I've got a 2005 kikapu I'm thinking of replacing the stock Marzocchi MZ comp fork (100mm) with a rockshocks tora 318. I'd like to save some cash and get the fixed travel 100mm tora instead of the variable (85-130mm) u-turn one, but the axle to crown height is 10mm less than the marzocchi - I don't think this will matter because I also noted they've started putting rockshocks dart2s on the 2007 kikapu as stock but would it be better to go for the variable travel fork which presumably would allow me to compensate for any loss of height at the front?
Can anyone give any advice?
Thanks

The difference will hardly be noticable.0

thanks,
also wondering if the air sprung Tora is worth the money over the coil sprung version which is about £30 cheaper? The weight saving is about 4oz which is less than 0.5% of the overall weight of my bike and me combined. My weights is unlikely to change much so presumably if I get the coil fork set up right at time of purchase there's little or no advantage - how does a air sprung fork compare to a coil ride wise?
so many questions...!?0 -
Coil is generally a little smoother, but my air toras are great. Uturn good for travel adjust, air good for precise weight adjustment. Weight saving is 0.4lbs, so about 7 ounces. Can be noticable when lifting front end!0
