Bike for £1000

Getting a bit frustrated as have to order a bike through Halfords on the cycle2work scheme and they cant get some 07 bikes now plus wont match sale prices of other shops - will only sell at RRP.

Soooo which bike would you recommend for £1,000 out of the new 08 bikes? Cant add anything to the sum so thats the max price.

Use will be for 30-40 miles Sunday morning rides, I'm 6' and a delicate 15 stone

im in the same situation but im going to hold out for the 08 Bianchis, they have told me that they will keep extending the voucher until ive bought something. Have a look at the Planet X its incredibly good value for its money!

Had i not had my heart set on a Bianchi i would get one of those

Cheers, yes have looked at the Planet X but missed out on their Ultegra £999 offer by a day unfortunately. Which Bianchi are you going to go for?

I emailed Bianchi to ask them when they are being announced/released and they responded with

The products of the 2008 range will be introduced in the EuroBike show.

and gave me a link to a bikeradar piece which id already read!
