Hi,
Has anybody experoenced any problems or know about with the fsa mega exo crank and bottom bracket. I did less than 500 miles and the bearings were mullered. The shop I bought the bike from replaced the bearings and now after a long ride today I ahve some serious creaking, but the guy at the shop (who I trust implicity) says the bearings are fine and that he has heard that these creaking noises are charactersitics of the external bearings. Can any one add anything to aid my frustrsation. If not I am off to but an old skool deore octolink.
Thanks all. :?

These bearings dont seem to last as long. Is the frame faced?0

Did you apply anti-seize grease to the BB cup | frame and left crank | crank axle joins. If not do and that will most likely correct the creaking.
Isis BBs are renowned for having bearing problems due to the small size of the bearings but I believe the Mega Exo system is similar to Shimano Hollowtech II and is hence extremely reliable.0 -
ISIS has inherant problems, but some types of external bearings are not too hot either at the minute. Good replacements can be had from BETD and SKF.0

HI,
The frame had been faced and the grease had been appied in all the relevant areas.
Just really annoying :x0
