after returning from France my mum rang me up to tell me to be careful when cycling. i was like "here we go again, i do know i have to cycle on the left mum!"

But she then informed me that the reason for her call was because she saw her neighbours son and asked him how his mum was coz she hadn't seen her for a while. she found out she was cycling home from work when she was purposely cut up by 3 lads in a car, one of whom then got out of the car, battered her over the head with a brick, and then all three drove off.

it's taken weeks for her to recover but she is on the mend now and hopefully will make a full recovery

And these b@stards are in my area!

I just sat here staring at your post for a full minute.... dumbfounded!

    YIPE!

(Perhaps you should go back to France. The worst I've seen there is people with moose antlers on waving flags and running beside you as you climb a hill).

Was it just because he was cycling or would they have done the same thing to some unfortunate pedestrian had they come across one first? It sound like a case of someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time and being picked on by a few sick individuals. Sadly that is just the way things are.

    he is a she, hun.

i think she was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

it freaked my mum out naturally, not just bcoz she knows the woman but i think because she thought it could be me with it being so close to home.

They sound like really nice boys. I just hope they all die very painful deaths after leading deeply unsatisfying and miserable lives.

Sounds truly horrendous, I hope your friend's mum recovers soon.

What part of the country did this occur in?
