Just wondering how many of you ususally ride in the big ring? I nearly always use the big ring and then middle to little ring on the back. I sometime switch to middle ring when going up hills, using middle ring front and back.

Is this bad technique?

Or do you guys like a big ring too? :p

You don't want to be cross the chain over too much when putting down power. So putting it in the big chainring and the largest cog is not a good idea. It doesn't sound like you're doing too much of that but just be wary.

I personally hardly ever use the big ring.

    I do whilst commuting.

Big ring front, smallest 3 or 4 on the back.

Off road, i tend to use the middle ring as its gives the biggest range of gears without farting about.

    Meh...works for me.
