Hi all,

anyone here currently using the Polar CS400 Cycle Computer? any problems with the CS400 so far? problems like accuracy in sensing of speed/cadence, and connectivity with the wireless speed/cadence sensors?

thanks!

    I have been using a Polar CS400 since mid-July.

I haven't had any problems at all with it so far other than one occasion when it had a spike in the heart rate reading which resulted in it showing a maximum heart rate 20 bpm higher than my maximum. This spike was not evident on the bike mounted computer as I was watching it at the time as I was approaching my MHR: it was only evident on transferring the exercise data to my PC and reading it in the Polar Software, but I sorted it out with the error correction function in the software.

I've had no problem with the on-bike sensor giving bike information - it has consistently recorded the same distances and speeds as my previous cateye bike computer. Also the altitude function seems to work brilliantly - the first time I went out I went to a location nearby which is 1155 feet above sea level and when I read the data for the ride it gave that exact measurement as the altitude. I hadn't been expecting such accuracy.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with it and have found it extremely useful for training purposes and also very interesting to compare data via the software, particularly in relation to same-course time trials.
