Not as well as a jump bike. If you want to jump, buy a jump bike!0

yes but i really need the bike for trails just i do the odd jump here nd there because i have a jumps place near my house but i prefer the trails0

Small trail drops maybe, but not the stuff at jump sites. Hardcore hardtail may do the job, like a saracen mantra, but not many worth having at this price and most are heavy.0

Have a look at the Kona and Gary Fisher ranges, might be something for you there. Kona Stuff I think it is...0

lol, my answer is that they don't do very well.
I use a quality XC bike day in, day out for my line of duty and found some small kickers in a wood and gave them a bash.
The cross bar is well too high and the dynamics make it a bit sketchy. This is compared to my DMR ExAlt and mates Scrap. Still, I can climb hills and chase people pretty quick!
I've also had to stop doing 1 -2ft drops as the cranks on the "spare" bike are slightly out of line and the rear wheel is buckled a bit.
As said on here, wanna jump/ freeride get a bike for it....Too enthusiastic about biking for my friends...want to ride somewhere in the SE? TELL ME!!! hamsterscanswim@hotmail.com - and yes they can!0
