best hardtail for £1,200

please could you tell me he best hardtail for about £1,200 or less,i'm about 5-8 so also what frame size please,i like the stumpjumper ht but wonderd if the bike is any good any help would be great

Yea i was so impressed with how nice that Viper looks i am considering building my own custom one with the new XT groupset when it comes out in a couple of months. I was gonna do one with the carbon frame but i really do like the white. Prolly have about £1200 aswell to put into it.

Should be very similar spec and look to this, i will use Rebas and Crossrides aswell just using 08 XT brakes/shifters/crankset/shadow deraileur.

At this price range you have to try different bikes out.

I am well chuffed with my Marin Eldridge Grade. Nice package for £1045, and it is superlight!
