You can ask. But it is a sale bike, and you'll get better service than online.0

no it is a brand new full price bike
(bionicon)0 -
Some shops will price match online prices. LBS' attitudes do amaze me sometimes though - my LBS did me a quote for a new set of wheels that was exactly twice what Merlin wanted - and they wouldn't budge an inch on price!0

so whey you guys get stuff do you get a discount or do you just stump up and grin?
he has oddered me a discount on a set of lights0 -
Leisure Lakes gave me about £100 worth of extras on my brand new 07 stumpy comp. I think they would have given me more of i'd pushed it a bit.
If you don't ask then you don't get!!0 -
If you build up a relationship with a local LBS they will normally give you a good deal. I got 10% off my full sus bike and it was a machine that was in high demand as well as a decent deal on pedals etc. The margin on bikes is less than on bits so you can often get a better deal if you bargain on the accessories you want with it.Commencal Meta 5.5.1

it depends what u want to get.
Say you wanted something for 50 quid, ask them to chuck it in for free.
If they say no offer them 15 and be silent, don't say anything until they say yes. Just stare them out.

That normally works0 -
ok god i cant wait to try that out when i by my bike.....what do you think should i try getting for free or cheaper0

Depending on the bike, you may be better to wait for a month or so and pick up a good discount on this years model. The shops will be trying to clear this years stock to make way for the 2008 models.
Even if you don't want to buy on line, you can still use it to bargain with your Lbs.
