Hi,

I recently won a bike on a German website, and the bike I have I know absolutely nothing about as the website is German. I am currently selling the bike but do not know anything about its true value or how to go about selling it, obviously its on ebay but I do not think the true bike enthusiast would check ebay for that higher spek.

Any information on the value or where I could sell it would be greatly appreciated.

Below is the link to the bike on ebay, which also has a link to the German website, this is a genuine email, the bike is not stolen and I can prove this, I just want the bike to go to a proper enthusiasts home.

    Give us pics,

Or tells us what the spec is.....700 euros is around the £470 mark.

There is no infor on the website about the components at all, just the frame, by the looks 7005 double butted ally, which is pretty standard for this price point.

I don't think your going to get that on E-bay though.

I'd put at least a £300 pound reserve on it or you run the chance of losing it for peanuts.

Meliat is posting everywhere - see the www.jdcycles.co.uk forums! General opinion from the pics is that it's a pretty poor machine and Meliat should give it away to Bikes for Africa or some other charity.

I dont know if it's a crap as every one thinks,

2nd picture down looks a lot like a Mavic sticker on the rims, Richey finishing kit, Michelin tyres, thats looking some decent equipment level to me.

Forks, drivetrain and frame are the important bits, but if one of these lets it down, it might be worth buying for spares/upgrade if nothing else, if its at the right price.

I'd have a punt meself, but i aint paying £40 for a courier when it can be Royal Mailed for a lot less, that takes the wet.
