I seem to recall during the recent TdF coverage someone mentioning that Tom Boonen used a type of insert in his shorts prevented chaffing betwixt crotch and chamois. i think they said it was called something like second skin but i don't remember.

Does anyone else know what he was talking about and whether they work (if they exist) and where you can get them from if they do?

What you are after are Reskin patches, used one during a 300 mile London to Paris charity ride just last week, 4 days no problems. this was my first time using them, started the ride with bit of a boil/spot never once troubled, you get 4 to 5 days wear out of one and you can wash them and they do still stick, Parker sell 1s or packs of 5 i think.
