Warranties are normally void if the product is sold on.0

I wouldn't recommend it personally but there is always the chance you could end up with a genuine bargain. Check the sellers rating etc carefully and ask them Q's only riders would know the answer to. if you get sketchy answers there's a fair chance its been nicked. I bought a cheap one as a second bike - the woman i bought it off had never riddena bike in her life even though she told me it was hers.

Good luck.I hate it when people say David Beckham's stupid...its not like anyone ever says: 'Stephen Hawking - he's s**t at football.' Paul Calf0 -
I got the LTS off ebay, the description was detailed and the seller answered the questions I asked satisfactorily so taking that into consideration along with his feedback I judged him to be a genuine seller, my advice would be to do the above and see how you feel about it. If its not genuine you'll suss it out.0

My cousin got a GT bike off ebay, was good condition, bb was worn but it said it had some use etc so y'know. I've bought a frame and forks recently and I collected in person and both people were genuine riders and the condition of the parts were good and i was happy.0

I bought a road bike from ebay and got an absolute bargin. There were loads of photos and it was very well described. Feedback was good and he communicated very well. So just use common sense. If you think anything looks dodgy, walk away!!
Thats my advise anyway.

What he said..
I just picked up a bike off ebay this afternoon. It's in excellent nick, obviously been well looked after. Came with all documentation. Seller was very open, honest and genuine. Trust your instincts.

Recently bought a bike off e-bay - but in hindsight I did'nt really make enough enquiries about the bikes history. The fella seemed to know what he was on about - but i never got a purchase reciept or any documentation from him.
Reading these posts now makes me feel a bit uncomfortable - how do I now find out whether the bike is nicked ?
On the up side - I got a great bike which was only 3/4 months old and saved 250 quid off the normal sales price.0 -
my bike new was £575
it was only about a year old but it was in mint condition, £360 i bought it for...0
