Knee and shin pad sizes

Does anyone know what the rough dimensions are for the 661 veggie knee and shin pads are?
They only give sizes as S/M/L.
I've got pretty thin ankles but fairly large calves so not sure what to go for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
