I've been waiting for it to come out for ages so I'm taking it steady....savouring it
I've got to only page 200.... I'm taking it VERY easy. Two of my colleagues are nearly bursting in the effort not to say anything that will spoil it for me!

OMG I took it slow and had still managed to finish it is about 26 hours including sleeping!
A friend of mine tried to spoil it by naming people who die- but gave the wrong names. Have you looked at the last pages? I managed not to, but they don't tell you much about the main plot anyway!
Look at the last page???? Not a chance. I am avoiding reviews or any kind of articles in case I get even the slightest inkling. With the previous books, I have found myself still reading at 2am, and I just don't want to do that this time.

I liked the bit where harry stumbled across Dumbledore's stash of wizard porn in his office. "As Turgidous Rodde raised his mighty wand, Leviatina Bosumaz's dark potion quivered ever so slightly..."

Girl here at work is a nutter about Potter. Read the book cover to cover in one sitting apparently. Must confess that I'm not really a fan, but I'm sure that the films will become classic Christmas TV fodder in the years to come.
How long before the actress that plays Hermione is splashed all over the front of the News of the World for some indiscretion involving magic wands of a different kind?
I received the book at 10.00am Saturday morning, locked myself away with no access to TV / Internet etc. and had finished it by 2.00am Sunday morning. Felt a bit sad when I had finished it because I realised there would be no more HP books to look forward to.
