OK, following on from my last post where I tried fitting a SRAM derailer to Shimano shifters :oops: Things are not getting any better.
I've replaced the old Altus unit with a new long cage Deore unit, which is shifting perfectly. The one thing I can't get my head round though is that now the shifters are working opposite to what they were before :shock:
Now what have I done :roll:

Two types of mechs: rapid rise and normal. You have got the opposite to before, no doubt a rapid rise where the spring works the other way.0
