Should be free from the word go. They'll get a touch quieter but never quiet."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0

If your chain is to tight or your wheel isn't central in the dropouts it may cause your freewheel to feel tight.
streetlegal

Hmmm, silly me, the brakes are binding.....Now they run silky smooth. Sooo much better than my XT's0

Hope's are noisy, its like a trademark, I'd be more worried if hopes weren't making an even clicking as they spin. Pro II's are incredibly loud aswell. CK's are loud aswell."This is ******!, We can't ride out bikes in the dirt like this!"0
-
Bloke at Sherwood Pines cycles says that the only thing that's louder than hope's are infact Chris Kings.Yet you'd think that good hubs would be silent? Still, now people get out of the way on trails now they can hear me coming..0

Huh, makes me smile. I personally love the loud clicky noise that hopes make, and my silent deores really annoy me. Courses for horses i spose.i ride a hardtail0

The Hubs are like silk now, plus I've got use't to the noise or i'M GOING DEAF!
LOL.
I was looking to get a set of Xt's but I'm so glad I laid the extra money out. I could not recomment Hope II's more0 -

I just bought a pair of Gold Pro 2's, left them in the local shop to fit them with my new Spank White rims!
Can't wait to get them on my bike!!!
Great deal on at Wiggle, 20% off baskets over £100, so a pair of Hope Pro2 hubs could come as cheap as £135 (That's how cheap I got them). Also a deal on at ChainReactionCycles where they will match your choice in Rim and Hub and make it for you.Cannondale Super Six Evo
Cannondale Slice Aero0 -
I had an older set of XT's(non disc) and they are great even now, but when comparing them to the Hopes I just found them to be smoother, look better built, and have than 'bling' effect than I was looking for(Red hubs look sweet)
This months What mountain bike give the Hope's 10/10. And seeing at the prices you can get them at, no wonder(Merlin £199)0 -
Bling...........................even if they are still dirty0 -
