Lock - on grips with carbon riser

Can any body tell me if it is ok to use lock-on grips on a carbon handlebar. I have the Specialized BG2 grips and have jusr bought a Ritchey WCS carbon riser bar, are they compatible because it says on the specialized site that these grips are not suitable for carbon bars....but the Ritchey WCS are reinforced to accept bar ends?!?!

Will the grip be ok or will they damage the bar?

    i have an FSA K-forc carbon bar and was using the exact same grips until i bought a set for the reign aswell and actually read the instructions.

    i know use a set of ODI Lock-on type grips which are a lot safer.

    the problem with the spesh grips is that they use a grub screw instead of a collar to secure them and for that reason, i wouldnt use them on a carbon bar
