Sloping top tube, need seat post support.

I've notice a very slight bend in my aluminum seatpost. It's a sloping top tube and I run a lot of extension. Is there any thing I can get to support the seatpost, short of fashioning a splint.

You need a stronger seatpost or a bigger frame!

New seat post. Your seat post will have a miniumum insertion mark on it. Make sure this isn't showing or you'll be using the seatpost outwith its safety limits. You can get longer seatposts 350mm+ for compact frames. Also a carbon fibre seat post shouldn't bend and retard permanently as your aluminium tube. Might just break though!!

Get something like an Easton carbon post, particularly an MTB one to make sure you've got enough insertion into the frame. You could knacker your frame too if you haven't got enough insertion and stressing the top of the seat tube/TT junction.
