....seen worse. maybe a better pic would help?0

Doesn't look too bad to me - it is far enough from the bottom bracket not to compromise that joint, I reckon you will be able to ride it for years without trouble.0

Sorry I don't have the camera at the moment. But I think you can see well enough... A smooth dent, with a little spot of scratched paint in the middle. No wrinkles or cracks.
Actually, if the frame develops a crack there, guess I'll just buy a replacement full sus one...
The only thing I'm worried about is me riding downhill and the bike splitting in half... But I don't think this can happen so suddenly...
I hope the crack would appear first, leaving me time to discontinue use before the frame fails completely in a single moment. Is that assumption reasonable?http://tinyurl.com/357krj The mud hog0 -
sorry, the flaked paint had me worried a touch (thought it might be a hole) hence the request for a better pic. If its a smooth dent there should be no problems judging by where it is.
My bad, i think it was a cable guide that had me worried :oops:0 -

Thanks for words of comfort...
I've also been told that part of the frame is subject mostly to tensile loads, that would practically make the forces work "against" the dent, like trying to stretch it...
Will see, keep your comments coming! I appreciate every one...
(p.s. the bike survived at least two big rides like this before I noticed it)http://tinyurl.com/357krj The mud hog0
