I am looking to buy a set of wheels suited t heavy trail abuse on a hardtail.
Budget 120 - 150 quid max
I have looked at Mavic Factory wheel sets such as the crossrides are these any good??
Should i go for factory or custom?
If custom which configuration? and is CRC any good for custom build wheels?

When you say trails, do you mean XC or more freeride orientated trails with drops etc?0

I would say more XC trails.
Would i be asking to much to get something light and that could take the abuse of smaller drops at this price? The wheels are for a rockhopper so obviously the bike would not really stand up to freeride.0 -
Look at some custom built wheels from Merlin.You can get XT hubs with DT swiss rims for £130.2006 Giant XTC

would you recommend DT rims over mavic 719's??

I'd stick wth Mavic for a midweight rim, though I do like the XC DT rims.0
