Shims

Does anyone use shims to get the right leg alignment and if so what do you use??
The reason i ask is on longer rides the outside of my right foot(next to ball of foot area)gets quite sore. I'm sure it's due to my right leg being slightly shorter than my left and i end up pushing ever so slightly more with the outside of my foot to make up the distance.
I've got keo pedals and cleats but can't seem to find anything that would work with these cleats leading me to BG shims as this seems to be the only thing i can find likely to counteract this problem. My saddle heights fine.
