In the market for new wheels and thought I'd upgrade the cassette from the 105 or Tiagra thingy that came with the bike (can't be @r$ed to remove the old one is also a factor ).

My question is, is it worth nearly double the money for a Dura Ace cassette over Ultegra?

Oh yes, and am I getting ahead of myself here.
Would upgrading to these higher quality cassettes bring compatability issues with the current setup (mix of Tiagra & 105)?

    No, and yes.

DuraAce is hideously expensive, mostly because the biggest three cogs (and body) are titanium, thus very light...
they also wear out quite fast, I managed to finish one off in under a year and that was with fairly meticulous maintenance. For that reason many people use Ultegra cassettes on otherwise DuraAce equipped bikes, or keep Ultegra cassesttes on their training wheels and keep the DuraAce for race wheels. It's a much better way to go.

Since we're talking 9 speed you can mix n match all 9 speed Shimano components, providing you don't exceed maximum cog sizes etc etc.
