Stage 14 question

As I understand it, this is the stage that aroused some suspicions because Contador and Rasmussen climbed quicker than Armstrong.

Out of curiosity, did any of the other riders climb quicker than Armstrong? - i.e. Soler, Leipheimer etc.

(I've tried to find the relevant info myself but can't )

  • Good point. Soler Leipheimer and Sastre all finished within a minute so they must have been close to the Armstrong time - what was it?. They went fast from the bottom , can't remember if Armstrong did.
    getting there......

Remember, in 04 there were 5 catagorised climbs before they even got to Plateau-de-Beille. Only 2 this year which probably accounted for slower time from LA / IB.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

i dont think you can compare climb times and speeds over differnet tours, as there are far to many variables to affect the outcome (weather, road surface, length of stage, how many climbs prior to finish etc...)
