Alternative to Specialised Tricross?

Hi,
I'm new to the forum, I'm currently looking for a new bike for my commute.
My commute consists of a 13 mile round-trip on road, tow-path and sustrans cycle route. I thought the Specialised Tricross Sport looked ideal although I can't find anywhere with a 58 or a 61cm in stock and I'm desperate for a new bike..!
Can anyone suggest a suitable alternative for a similar price (£799) with similar spec?
Luke.

You could look at the Kona Jake - there are three models at fifferent specs/prices. The basic model is £650
Or there are the Lemond Poprad bikes, but I don't know abour price or availability on those.0 -
thanks for the advice, both bikes look good. I'll have a ring around and see what's available, I want a new bike this weekend!0

Evans have got all sizes in the 07 and 08 range in stock. Most LBS's should be able to order the 08 range.0 -
You should also look at Kinesis, Planet-X, Focus - all have a good reputation for cross bikesMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
