Hi,
I'm new to the forum, I'm currently looking for a new bike for my commute.
My commute consists of a 13 mile round-trip on road, tow-path and sustrans cycle route. I thought the Specialised Tricross Sport looked ideal although I can't find anywhere with a 58 or a 61cm in stock and I'm desperate for a new bike..!

Can anyone suggest a suitable alternative for a similar price (£799) with similar spec?

Luke.

You could look at the Kona Jake - there are three models at fifferent specs/prices. The basic model is £650

Or there are the Lemond Poprad bikes, but I don't know abour price or availability on those.

thanks for the advice, both bikes look good. I'll have a ring around and see what's available, I want a new bike this weekend!

Evans have got all sizes in the 07 and 08 range in stock. Most LBS's should be able to order the 08 range.

You should also look at Kinesis, Planet-X, Focus - all have a good reputation for cross bikes
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
